Hi Bear Club Members,
 This month is our Birthday, well at least it is our “new” showrooms birthday!
It is hard to believe that it is 7 years since we opened our huge new teddy bear mega store but this month is seven years since we moved into our new “home”.
Although we had been selling teddy bears for a couple of years before this, both in our Sleep Doctor showroom in Penrith and in a small temporary shop just around the corner whilst the new building was being constructed we see the opening of the new showroom as our official start of Nana’s Teddies & Toys

To celebrate the occasion we are having two great Birthday promotions this month packed with extra special birthday deals for you.
 Firstly our normal monthly Teddies on Parade Event this month will feature some delightful teddies and their plush friends who have not yet seen their first birthday.

The good, the bad and the cuddly!
HUGE CHARLIE BEARS SHIPMENT ARRIVED!
 After some very long delays I am excited to report that we received a huge shipment containing several hundred teddies from Charlie Bears this week.
We only received around half of the designs we have been waiting on and from these were able to fill quite a few of our very patient members orders.
We have been informed that they are catching up quite well at present and we should be seeing large deliveries approximately every 4-6 weeks from now on with the rest of the designs we are waiting on.
We have contacted all members who had bears arrive in this shipment so if you are still waiting on Charlie Bears and we did not contact you on Monday then your bears are still on the way to us and we will advise you when they are in.
As well as being able to fill many members orders we also have a reasonable amount of new designs on the shelves for immediate delivery including some surprises.
Some of the more popular designs particularly in the Isabelle Collection we had sold out of our complete allocation but were pleasantly surprised to be offered some “extra” stock on some designs including Burdock, Florence and Josephine.
We also received more than we were anticipating in some of the more popular plush designs in the new 2010 collection like Cooper, Candy, Diesel, Rodley, Seren, Fuddy, Betty and Becky to name a few.

CHERISHED TEDDIES 2010 COLLECTION
Waiting is not one of my favourite pastimes particularly when it comes to new releases, I like to have every thing available for our members as soon as it is released and am constantly baffled why we in Australia seem to be lagging behind the American and European markets when it comes to getting the latest designs.
The new 2010 Cherished Teddies have finally arrived and include this years Easter and Mothers Day designs which in a perfect world we should have had before Easter and Mothers Day.
Anyway they have arrived and were well worth the wait, these new designs are certain to make the heart of any serious CT Collector flutter.

DEAN’S OWNERS TO VISIT US!
 Our October “Teddies on Parade” event will be another memorable occasion not to be missed with your chance to rub shoulders with some of Britain’s Teddy Bear royalty.
Dean’s of England are one of our most popular mohair collectable bear ranges and the Deans events we hold each year are among the favourite nights for our members.
We always come up with a special theme and everyone has a load of fun, we often release new designs at the event and members get to learn about the rich history and the ups and downs that Dean’s experience throughout the war years.
The highlight of this October event will be a visit from Deans owners Neil & Barbara Miller for a special signing event.
This will be their first visit to Australia and we are very excited to have them come and see us.
They are actually visiting New Zealand for a family event and have accepted our invitation to skip across the Tasman to see our shop and to meet us and some of our members.
Neil & Barbara will also talk with members about their passion for making teddies, their designs and the rich history of Deans as Britain’s oldest and most respected teddy bear manufacturers.
Like the last signing event we held for Charlie Bears in August this event will be standing room only so we again will limit it to 100 members being able to attend.
we have already started a guest list so you can RSVP now to secure your invitation to this signing event.
TWO VERY SPECIAL BEARS
We have commissioned two very special limited edition bears from Deans for our October event.
Both are limited to only 25 in each edition and have been designed for us by two of Dean’s most famous bear artists
Barbara Ann Cunningham and Jill Baxter.
Both artists have come up with stunning designs and to ensure they are all here in time for the event we have started shipping them early with the first delivery just arrived this week.
 CHOC CHIP
Designed exclusively for us by Jill Baxter.
He is a charming 33cm teddy that has an appeal all of his own.
With typical Jill Baxter features like the long arms, big feet, small head with small ears and close set inquisitive eyes Choc Chip is a delightful bear from any angle.
His rich dark chocolate mohair is lightly tipped giving a milky chocolate appearance which is nicely offset with dark brown suedette paw pads.
He comes with a certificate of authenticity showing his heritage and his individual number within the 25 edition,
he also wears an original Dean’s enamel pendant and a vibrant bright orange satin ribbon covered in silver spots.

What’s not to love about this 38cm plump cheeky ball of cuddly fur, like all of Barbara Ann’s creations he has style and a quirky appeal that sets him apart from many artist bears.
Made of a blend of stark white and grey tipped black long pile mohairs finished off with rich grey suedette paw pads Bacchus is a strikingly handsome fellow, his cheeky grin enhanced by an unruly beard and his Barbara’s trade mark big hand stitched nose make him a hard bear to resist.
