Hi Bear Club Members,
Welcome to our first members newsletter for 2011 I hope you had a great break over Christmas and the New Year and did not miss your monthly teddy news infusion too much.
 During January we were very busy with members and tourists travelling through the mountains on holidays, it was really great to catch up with many old friends and to meet a lot of members face to face that normally we only talk to on the phone or via e-mail.
February is traditionally our “quieter” month so Jan and I took the opportunity to have a couple of very relaxing weeks off, a break we really needed after a very busy year.
Troy and Marilyn held the fort while we were away and from the comments I have been getting from members they did a good job of looking after the teddies and the needs of our members in our absence.
The day after we got back we rushed off to the annual gift fair in Sydney where all our suppliers release their new designs for the year and wow, do we have some great new bears and animals coming in for you over the next few months.
Many of the new designs have started arriving so this newsletter will highlight some of them and we will also be showcasing the new releases from Jasnor Australia in a special “Teddies on Parade” event on March 22nd.
 Jasnor are our supplier of many ranges including Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear, Sesame Street Characters, Gund Bears and the fabulous and quirky bears and animals in the NICI range.

 New SETTLER RANGE RELEASED
This month we have the pleasure of introducing the new SEASON 13 in the famous
Settler Bear range which is a real passion for many of our members.
This company has created an almost cult following for their beautifully dressed bears that they release in new collections twice each year, we are featuring the recently released
“Season 13” is now in stock
We have probably the biggest selection of Settler Bears in stock that you will find anywhere and we still have many of the earlier collections that many stores no longer carry, in fact if it is still available from Settler Bears we will still carry it in our range.
Season 13 is amazing and features 53 new designs in 10 collections.

New designs just arrived from ENGLAND.
 We have just received a big shipment from Dean’s of England, lots of new designs including some very quirky bears by Barbara Anne Cunningham, Chloe Wilson and Jill Baxter.
Check out HAPPY HUMPHRY, he is really cute, his picture doesn’t do him justice nor does it show that he actually has a “mullet” hairstyle that comes right down past his shoulders at the back.
I can’t recall ever seeing a bear with a mullet before.
There are more of the delightful Apple Pips miniature bears, more traditional English designs and cool pandas plus a couple of very different bears made entirely from woven cotton, these bears are designed for the serious bear collectors and are not recommended to be given to children.

OTHER DESIGNS RECENTLY RELEASED
Just in from Steiff are more very traditional replica bears from early last century.

Hermann Coburg has some fantastic themed bears this season including 3 designs that will delight “Royal” bear collectors
I previewed these bears in a recent news blast and most have been pre-sold, the stock is arriving in the next week or two and we do have a couple of each design still available for pre-order.

NEW FLORENCE PORCELAIN DOLLS
After a long drought waiting on new designs from the Florence Collection we are happy to say that the new 2011 release was well worth the wait.
Mark Jones has excelled himself with this first part of the 2011 range and the first 6 dolls are amazing in both style and value for money.
Our first delivery arrived just before Christmas but sold out almost instantly, we are pleased to advise we now have all designs back in stock for immediate delivery.
Each doll is from a limited edition and has their edition number details stamped on the back of their necks, they come in a Florence collection box and have a Florence certificate of authenticity.
More designs will follow throughout the year but these 6 lovely designs will hopefully appeal to our doll collectors or at these sensational prices will make excellent additions to your collection or as gifts to delight any little girl.

 WINNIE THE POOH
Jasnor are also the importer of the Winnie the Pooh products and have just released a new range of both Traditional and the very popular Disney Pooh designs.
Pooh Bear is joined by some of his best pals including Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit and Roo

CHARLIE BEARS UPDATE
 I know that each month I say that Charlie Bears are catching up on their back orders, well that is the honest truth but with such a big range and so many people wanting these terrific teddy bears it has been and still is a long hard road getting enough bears to meet the demand.
Since our last update in December’s newsletter we have had 2 shipments with the promise of a container arriving approximately every 4 weeks.
In the shipment that we received last week were many of the older bears that we had sold out of and were waiting on our reorders to arrive.
Great designs like Woody and Malcolm, both now retired are back in stock again but will not last long.
We also received 3 of the new Isabelle 2011 designs with more coming in the next shipment as well as some of the new plush designs including the long overdue Kenny and one of the largest ever Charlie Bears.
Chumley is a whopping 92cm bundle of hugs.

If any of the bears you had on order arrived we have contacted you already, if we didn’t contact you then your bears are still on their way and we will be in touch as soon as they arrive.

section of our catalogue, click here to go to this section the response to the new designs has already been enormous with some designs already close to selling out our complete allocation.
If you like any of these bears you are most welcome to place a pre-order to secure them but again be aware that I cannot promise any definite delivery times on them.

CHARLIE 2011
This delightful teddy is the 3rd in the annual series of bears called “Charlie” and like the previous two this “Charlies” is made of Plumo, that’s part plush and part mohair which allows Charlie Bears to do a much more detailed sculpting of the face and ears on these very sought after bears.
This years Charlie is slightly smaller than last year at 34cm and the use this time of two different plush furs gives Charlie 2011 a very unique appeal.
If you have been collecting the Charlie annual bear each year then you won’t want to miss this years edition, again like previously they are only making a very limited number of them so pre-orders are strongly recommended.

If you missed out on the 2010 edition we have 5 still available but sadly the original 2009 Charlie is sold out globally and we can no longer help you get one of these very sought after bears that are selling on E-Bay for 3-4 times their release prices.

This year Charlie has come up with a trio of really cute fully jointed bunnies that are just perfect for Easter or simply adding to your collection because you like bunnies, they are in stock now and ready to come home for Easter.
