Born March 14, 1804, Johann Strauss Vater was an Austrian romantic composer most well-known for composing waltzes and polkas.
He is the father to Johann Strauss II whom followed in his father’s footsteps and also became a composer.
He died in 1849 after contracting scarlet fever.
This bear commemorates the works of Johann Strauss Vater. It is dressed in a black period coat.
Johann Strauss Vater’s most famous piece is the Radetzky March composed in 1848. Being a musical movement bear, it plays this piece.
The bear is made from quality mohair plush with excelsior woodwool filling.
